low-traffic roads perfect for motorcycles rides
After many tours around the country, on the already classic roads, such as Transfăgărășan, Cheia, Transalpina, and others, you may want to discover more roads to enjoy on the weekend. In the last years, there are more and more county or communal roads that have been rehabilitated and which, because they connect only a few small villages, are almost always with no traffic. This is a good thing, but it also has two disadvantages: you risk to relax and when you do not expect to wake up with a car coming from the opposite direction, and the second, especially in spring, the roads are full of sand which was thrown during winter for grip.
1. Beliș – Dealu Boţii – 15km

This road was recently paved and connects the DN1R with the Transapuseni road. The road is in very good condition, has a width of about 4-5m, very curved but with quite wide curves and is very little circulated. The 15km crosses several hills on the northern shore of Lake Belis-Fântânele …
2. Poiana Campina – Valea Lungă – 21Km

If you are in the area and tired of riding on DN1 or just looking to explore exciting new roads, this route is a good option. It can be used as an alternative if you are on the way to Transbucegi for example because from the Valea Lungă you can reach Pucioasa on such a fun road.
From DN1 you will have to go through the Câmpina because it cannot be turned directly from DN1. Then in Poiana Câmpina you will have to take it to Provița. In Poiana Câmpina you pass under the railway then …

Coming from the south of the village of Haleș, the road starts with a fairly fast area with some long straight lines. Then as we go down the road, it sinks into the forest and starts climbing, first with a few wide curves, and then becomes more and more twisted. In the middle of the road we reach …
4. Băile Herculane- Baia de Aramă – 61Km

The road is a bit under-traveled because there are faster routes to get from Băile Herculane to Targu-Jiu and the project to make the Trans Retezat road, which can be accessed from DN67D, has been abandoned for the moment. The route from Baile de Arama to Herculane Bath is distinguished by 2 different segments:
Segment 1 – 60 km/h average speed:
Although the landscape on the Cerna Valley is spectacular and the area has potential …
