OFF45 Albești – Limanu

We found this path somewhat by mistake. Much said road because half of the route is more of a path through the forest. We were in the village of Albești and we wanted to find a road to Lake Limanu but not on asphalt. So we took a small street in the village that seemed to be going in the right direction. It’s just that slowly the road started to get lost in the grass and once we entered the forest the road disappeared completely. We woke up on a narrow path and having no way back, we decided to continue.

After a few kilometers of slalom through the branches and trees, we went out on a road again. He climbed us on the left bank of the valley we were walking through and out of the forest. From here we continued along the valley but at the top of the valley. At one point you come to a fork and you have to turn left next to a pine forest. If you take it straight you will reach the Limanu – Hagieni Monastery.

Once we pass the pine forest we will see on the right side the Limanu Hagieni lake. Near the end of it we went down to the shore and crossed it on a dike.

From here you will follow the left bank of Lake Limanu until you reach the county road 319B that takes you to Limanu.

The road is interesting because it is quite varied in landscape. A first part through a wild forest on a very narrow path. A second part at the edge of the forest or on the shores of Lake Limanu. Be careful, if it rains, the road quickly turns into a mud rink.
