This road segment is part of the series of access roads to the oil wells in the Câmpina – Moreni area. There are many gravel roads in this area, some better, some worse, but most have one thing in common: the first part and the last,i those near the localities are better maintained. The parts in the middle of the route are a bit worse and narrower.
The road between Iedera and Ocnița is no exception to this rule. We traveled it coming from the county road 710A. At the beginning we will cross the Cricov River on a rather spectacular one-way metal bridge. Then turn left, follow the river upstream, then turn left near the exit of the village.
From here the road climbs slightly through a wide meadow. We will have to keep the main road to the right. The road surface is quite good with compacted stone. Then we turn right and enter the forest. The road becomes narrower and narrower and the stone slowly disappears. Probably if it rains or if it has rained recently, this part through the forest will be quite difficult to ride. In dry weather it’s ok.
After a few kilometres through the forest, the trees become rarer and rarer and we will go out on a much circulated road. From here you can admire the hills in the area because we are close to the top of a hill. Further on, the road descends to Ocnița village and after a few curves and a descent of about 3 km we reach the center of the village and we will enter the 720C county road.
