The entire road segment that we propose between Targusor and Cheia villages is only 8 km long. Starting from Târgușor, you will first travel a long straight and flat stretch road.

The spectacular road begins immediately after the exit from Drobeta Turnu Severin, in Gura Văii. On the right side, we can admire the Iron Gates dam. Although the altitude is quite small (just over 100m), it looks like we are in the mountains with huge limestone cliffs everywhere.

DN12C is one of the most spectacular roads in Romania, crossing the Bicaz gorge.
